做外贸业务是要向个过虑器， 一方面要把工厂的优势如何恰当的传达给客户。这就要求业务员要了解自己的产品，了解产品的技术特点，能知道同行业情况更好。
另一方面，要懂的把客户的要求有效的给工厂，什么意思呢？ 客户的要求很多，如果都让工厂去满足客户要求，工厂会累趴下来的，要归纳，如广交会，很多客户信息，那些是对工厂未来发展最重要的，那些是要开发的款式，研究的技术，那些是个别要求。其实是要求业务员有准确分析和判断，这个工作做好了。对工厂发展是很大帮助的。

客户经常会把要采购的产品给业务看，如过我们能告诉客户，这个产品大概是那里产的，有什么功能，价格是多少， 然后帮客户分析采购什么会更好，客户肯定信你的。
再进一步，你能通过名片沟通就可以分析出客户的身份，采购额，大概的竞争对手（客户的竞争对手），并告诉他你是如何去配合他接到订单的。客户铁定会跟你打交道，甚至会相见恨晚。

这是站在战略合作伙伴的身份和客户沟通啊，客人是不可能拒绝你的。
当然这是要有相当的积累的。
